 Finally! Those long rumored pics of Melody in Alloy have been confirmed and are in the Gallery. Big thanks to Chelsea for scanning them and sending them in! Also in the Gallery is a special pic of Mel created by Raul. It's what her official Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy headshot might look like if it they had done one of her as the Pink Ranger. Thanks for sending that in, man! Old pics in the Gallery Page have been moved to the Lands End 4 Gallery.

 In other news devinemi reports that LA Models is no longer Melody's modeling agent. I can't confirm that yet, but it jives with a vibe I got from them the last time we talked. If this is true there's not much point in sending letters to mel via them.

 And finally, I've updated both the Modeling and Contact Mel pages to reflect the preceding news.

 Seems like it's feast or famine these days, here at the Fact Page. :) The good news is we've got a feast this week. I got a new Lands End Overstocks Catalogue and there are three new pics of Mel. I've scanned them and should have them up by tomorrow.

 Earlier today I finally got the chance to see Planet of the Apes and it's all true; monkey's are planning to take over the world! ... OK, maybe not. :) But Mel is indeed in the film. In the end credits she is almost the last name listed as "Friend's at Leo's Party." For those that are worried about spoilers ... don't. I won't reveal anything. 

 She pops up just a couple minutes after the end of the opening credits. It's quick (less than Coyote Ugly) so stay sharp. For those who want to catch every second, here are a few tips: Listen for someone to tell Leo (Mark Walhberg) that he has a postcard. He'll leave and go to his quarters to watch (it's a video postcard). Scene opens on a party, all his family and friends. The camera pans across the crowd from left to right. Keep your eye on the right and watch for the big black guy (I think it was Chi McBride from Boston Public, but to tell the truth I was paying more attention to who was behind him :). Mel is right behind him in a blue bikini! 

 The camera pans away to some other people, but that's not the end. Look for her to pop up again on the left hand side of your screen. All Leo's friends take turns saying hi and Mel pops up behind a blonde guy (her fiancé in the movie) to show off her engagement ring (lucky guy!). Everyone oooo's and aaah's and she just smiles and laughs along with them (looked like a fun party! :). And that's that.

Our lovely Karone/Astronema has a VERY brief role in Tim Burton's new Planet Of The Apes remake. No spoilers, but she's apparently an old friend of Leo Davidson (Mark Walhberg), and appears on a video tranmission to him (among a huge crowd of people) quite early in the film. I didn't recognize her until she showed off her engagement ring, but, yep, it's her. I think she may have been in a bikini, but that was probably all those loincloths in the movie clouding my memory. Rather ironic how she went to a primitive planet in PRLG on a space station, yet this time around she remains on Earth...

 Wow! Friday the thirteenth, lets hope it's lucky! Melody's current headshot and resume are now up for viewing. I'm not really happy with the layout, but I've put off posting for long enough. To view them just click the link at the top of the front page or click here!

 If you look at the scan of the resume, you'll see that half the contact info (agent name and telephone number) are cut off. That's just the way it was on the original (I didn't accidentally cut that off when I scanned it). The number listed at the bottom of the html page was found on the web. I haven't had the chance to verify it yet. If anyone wants to give it a shot, please let me know what you find out!

 There is one new pic and one bigger pic of Mel in the latest Lands End catalog. Both are now up in the Gallery.

 In bigger news. I just received Melody's current headshot and resume! No, this isn't a reply from Melody (I wish!). A while back a friend of mine introduced me tot he wonders of Ebay, and I found the headshot and resume up for sale (casting agencies generally clean out their files every 6 months and every 6 months there are people dumpster diving hoping to get one worth money). Long story short: I jumped on, bid and won. Yay! :) It came in the mail today. 

 The wait was incredible but worth it. The headshot is awesome, great quality (it's the same one she used when auditioning for PR:iS). The resume was everything I'd hoped for: a little bit of interesting new info, some old and the name and address of her acting agency (the addy currently in the Contact Mel section is her modeling agency). Unfortunately the fax and telephone numbers are cut off (add that to the fact that the resume is 8 1/2 X 11 and you start to get some idea why she isn't being hired -- headshots are always 8 X 10, casting agents have filing cabinets specially designed to hold standard headshots; so when they get one with a mismatched resume they tend to just throw them out). Shouldn't be a problem though, quick search on the net should yield results. 

 In any case, I'm going to do that, scan both and put them up on the front page (maybe some casting agent will happen by and take a look ... wouldn't that be cool!). So keep checking the site. I'm aiming to get it all up by the end of the week (but hoping to get it up sooner ... like tomorrow!).

 Well, I did a little digging and found out that the rumor about Mel appearing in passions is from December 20th of last year. You can find more info in the Rumor section of Dustin's Passions Page. Still no word on whether any of this is true or not though.

 There is a rumor floating around that Mel will appear in an episode of (or possibly join the cast of) Passions, as one of the Crane daughters or cousins. There has not been any official announcement, so nothing can be confirmed, but it is out there. I've found a couple of great Passion sites if anyone is interested.

 Well, there are a whole slew of new pics out right now, but I haven't had much time to update. You can see the ones from the Lands End website in the Gallery now. There are two, both pretty small, but that's what you get. 

 In happier news, I received a new Lands End catalog in the mail and there are 8 new pics of Mel in it (two of which can be found on the website -- if anyone's wondering why those aren't up right now; I've decided to hold off and just post the scans, as they'll be a lot bigger and better quality than those from the website). Time permitting, I'll scan those today and have them up tomorrow.

 In other news, there is one catalog out right now that I missed. I tried to order it from Lands End but they say that they only sent that one to "prospective customers" and don't have any left to send to me. :( So, if anyone has the one with "a woman and a little girl" on the cover, please do send in scans so I can put them up and share them with the rest of the fans. :)

 In related news, I'd like to thank both Lyanna and Lightspeed_red for keeping me up to date regarding pics showing up on the Lands End website and for letting me know about new catalogs. You guys have been a big help! Thank you for everything; it is most appreciated! :)

Plus, I'll be updating the Film and TV section with a full PR:iS episode list (with all of the bloopers Mel appeared in) and the Coyote Ugly DVD info. Some new links on the Links page as well. In other news, anyone catch Convention last night on Malcolm In The Middle? Great episode, as usual! And a perfect set up for some hilarity to happen if Francis comes back to realize just how wonderful Patty really is, and how much he messed up by blowing her off. ... and then, of course, she can get her revenge by making him dangle for a while, and teach him a real lesson about being so shallow. :) Boy! I really hope the writers bring back Mel's character. Hey, anyone know how to work up a petition to bring back a character? We've got the Malcom mailing address so we could send it in or just let them know it's online. And I'd definitely sign on for one of those! :) I just have no idea how to start. :(

I'll also be breaking up some of the pages that have gotten to big  into smaller pages (Current New, Galleries, Blind Alleys, etc ...). No time frame on that though. Just whenever I get the chance. (In other words, whenever I recover from New Years! ;) Have a great holiday everyone!!

 A new pic of Mel is up in the Gallery. I found it in the mail, in an ad for a recliner (you just never know where she's going to pop up do you? :). No, I'm not sure it's her. Just like the Leslie and Penny ad, there's air brushing and it's very hard to tell.

In other news, there will be new pics of Mel from Lands End soon (and since it's from lands End we know it's her! :). I got three in an email from an old friend today and will try and get them up by tomorrow. I don't know how I missed them, but I'm glad he sent them in! If anyone else notices something I missed, please let me know!

 Good news! Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy will soon be available on VCD. They've already released the first 8 episodes and the rest are scheduled to come in soon (the staff at Get VCD's said that they would probably be released every few months). That means Mel's episodes should be out sometime in the new year (see the complete episode list in the Lost Galaxy section of the Film and TV page).

 Well, I called LA Models and found out why the link to Mel's modeling page no longer works. I asked if they had broken with Mel and if she had moved to another agency. The lady I talked to assured me that wasn't the case. She said that the page is still there, but they've moved it and password protected it, so that only clients can access it. As to fan mail, they will still forward it on to Mel. If you've sent something before (as have I) she's got it. If it hasn't been answered, either she doesn't want to answer you or she hasn't had time to go through them all yet. For some reason I think the latter is more in line with her character. In any case, I've updated all the LA Models links on my pages; the new ones should all point to their front page. If you see any that don't, let me know, and I'll fix that quick. :)

As for the possible former classmate that emailed me. He's said he will try to get me a pic from his year book by the end of the week. So expect an update on Monday or there-about.

 Odds and ends.

Looks like Absolute Melody is coming back this month with new updates! It'll be great to see what Brent has learned in the time since we last heard from him! :) If I recall correctly, he was close to getting a fan mail address for Mel.

Also I got an email today from someone who says they went to high school with Mel. Right now I'm waiting for a reply and, hopefully, some sort of confirmation. More on that later.

On another note, it appears that the LA Models site has taken Mel's modeling page down. Anyone know why? Could this mean there's been a split between the two? Has Mel given up on acting? Thanks to Lightspeed_red for the heads up!

 There is an advert in this months In Style magazine (the one with Sandra Bullock on the cover) that features a model who (to my eye) looks exactly like Mel. Is it her or not? Email me with your opinions. I should have the image up in the Gallery tomorrow!

 Despite yesterdays report from our anonymous tipster, Mel did not appear on last nights episode of MITM. Looks like she won't be on anytime soon, but I'll let you all know if I hear anything about a new appearance.

 An anonymous tipster, posting to the Melody Online message board, reports that Mel will be appearing on tonight's episode of MITM. Considering my talk with the guy at their production offices, it's not real likely. I'm assuming that, if she was making an appearance on tonight's episode, he would have mentioned it. Then again, the whole staff is on an increased production schedule, so maybe it slipped his mind. In favor of this possibility is the fact that I mentioned the episode as airing on a wednesday, and he could easily have assumed that I meant this coming wednesday instead of last wednesday. Additionally, any storyline which involves Patty (Mels' character) returning, would include Francis; and he is slated to appear in tonight's episode (and laundry suggests coming home).

So, will she be on? Tune in and find out!

 Yesterday I spoke to someone at the Production Offices for MITM. I asked if we could send fan mail to her, via their mailing address. He said yes (check the Contact Mel section for the address). I also asked if she would return for another episode. Sadly, he doesn't know. He said it was possible, but that would be up to the writers. I take this as confirmation that she won't appear any time soon (if she'd done another episode, I assume he would have told me).

The Latest catalog from Lands End came out the other day, but with all the updates I hadn't had the chance to look at it till today. Good news! There are 2 new pics of Mel (and one old one)!  Sir Stack reports that Mel appears in an ad for Malcom In The Middle in the current issue of TV Guide (on sale now) with a description of "Convention," her guest starring ep; which airs Wednesday, the 22nd of this month! And if we're lucky, she'll stick around for a few episodes. :)

The recent TV Guide, the one for next week, shows the write-up for the episode we've been hearing about for a while. On the Wednesday, November 22nd episode of Malcolm In The Middle, our former Karone/Astronema, Melody Perkins, guest stars as the babysitter! This previously referenced edition (which outside sources state will feature Melody Perkins) will air on Wednesday, November 22nd.

The official cast information should be released by the Fox Network on Sunday, November 12th.  This likely will specify the name of the guest actress.  I will publish this information as soon it becomes available to me.

 Here's a few Unconfirmed Upcoming Episode Tidbits from Life Is Unfair. (And, if anyone's interested, check out their songs page to listen to some great, unreleased tracks from They Might Be Giants -- arguably one of the best bands out there today. :)

Interesting note. As can be seen above, most episodes list guest stars for each episode (if there are any). But the webmaster from Life Is pointed out that FOX hasn't released any info about the new babysitter yet. This could be because the episode with her in it won't air till further on in the season and thus hasn't been listed yet, or it could be weirder. Mel seems to have a streak of non-credited roles going (OK, two roles doesn't make a streak -- those roles being the new bartender in "Coyote Ugly" and the voice of the laser in PR: Lightspeed Rescue -- but with MITM, that could be three) and this could be a continuation of that. Funky!

 Well, Mel didn't appear on the season premier of MITM (which aired Sunday the 5th). The good news is that another new episode will air this Wednesday the 8th! The next few episodes will run as listed below (list taken from Life Is Unfair, IMO, the best Malcom Website out there!).

The new babysitter (who may be Melody) should show up by that last episode (they'll need someone to watch the kids) but she could easily show up before that (since the parents learned the old babysitter was dead in the season premier). So, stay tuned to the show or you might miss out!

 Miss Perkins probably won't appear in the Holloween themed, Season Premiere of Malcolm in the Middle (airing Nov. 5th), but Miko reports that Mel could turn up as the boys babysitter in later episodes this season.

 Reports have surfaced from a number of sources that Melody will be in an upcoming episode of Malcom in the Middle, which airs in prime time on the FOX network. If the reports are right, the episode will focus on Malcom's infatuation with Melody's character. Remember, this report is so far unconfirmed; if anyone has screen caps from the preview of the episode, please send 'em in!
